How to decorate studio apartment kitchen?
A beautiful decorated studio apartment conveys personality from the resident and has unique multifunctional style. Even the smallest spaces combined with imagination and practical common sense allow successful implementation of modern decoration principles. A studio apartment induces a feeling of interconnection and this should be the starting point for your decoration project. For example, integrating a couch or an armchair directly under the modern superimposed bed will save you space. Likewise, kitchen decoration projects confronted you with challenges that require practical solutions and/or creativity. How to make space relevant, adding continuity and keeping an airy look without losing functionality?
Many kitchens are small, so you should exploit space to the maximum. Based on budget or your skill for “crafts”, attach furniture to a wall, for saving space.
The kitchen could have its own space or could be embedded in the studio. For the latter, also known as “American kitchen” we recommend preserving a design and color scheme that matches with the space. Kitchens with own space seem more vast, and rest of walls can be decorated with shelves or other necessary cabinets.
For many residences, kitchen remains central, so it should be top priority for decoration. Studio kitchen has priorities such as functionality and modern charm, unlike house kitchen, often with rustic look. You can obtain excellent results with simple design, definite lines and fittings from inox or a white material with aluminium profiles.

Usually, cooking area has modern design: ceramic hob with digital indicator, hood above and inox cutlery or pots providing an ultramodern look to this picture. For complementing this look, add a refined inox refrigerator and an oven from the same material. Of course, smaller kitchens are also ideal for highlighting rustic elements – flooring from Classic Cross Cut Brushed Travertine Mini French Pattern Set (smaller tiles are recommended for limited spaces) and for impressive results use cladding with natural stone mosaic.
We recommend using light colors, especially white due to a light reflecting feature which induces a feeling of glowing, clean and airy space. Yet, white is not the only option. The 2016 Pantone colors of the year are Rose Quartz and Serenity, two relaxing colors that will not overcrowd kitchen mood. One more trick for creating a sensation of space is using light reflecting surfaces. For bringing extra brightness into the space we recommended decorative wall with polished finish (cream or light beige color). Picture below features kitchen wall cladded with Volakas Marble, small cabinets are cladded with wood and lilac touch and the result is warm and creative.
First decision involves shelves, then small cabinets and storage spaces. In small areas, decoration of vertical axis is important, therefore play with mirrors, glossy surfaces and light so that the latter could subtle emphasize tones of space. The shabby chic kitchen from below image features open superimposed shelves that add personality and white marble kitchen countertop (from Volakas or Kavala Marble) for a strong touch of style. The walls are also white, so use Fileti Tumbled Thassos Marble for achieving the same look.
