The Weber G700 primer is used in both interior and exterior arrangements in order to level out the water absorption rate of the supporting surfaces and for obtaining a surface with increased adherence before applying the grouting. It increases at the same time the durability of the supporting surfaces while also enhancing the resistance of the putty, fact which allows the walls to breathe. Can be applied over base grouting and reinforcement adhesives in the case of thermal insulation systems. Before applying the natural stones, the surface must be clean, undeformable, dry, fixed, must have load capacity and must be free of substances which could prevent the adherence (greases, bitumen, dust etc.). The areas surrounding the application surface will be covered with duct tape and protection foil because a surface cannot be cleaned once stained.
Weber G700 is a polimetric material enriched with organic additives and quartz.
Surface it’s applied on:
Base grouting, fiberglass adhesive
The supporting surface must be cleaned, dry and fixed. This means it must be cleaned of paint residues or other existing impurities.
Work and preparation method:
The areas surrounding the application surface must be covered with duct tape and protection foil because they cannot be entirely cleaned afterwards. On the already examined support, apply the Weber G700 primer on the entire surface using a brush or a roller. In the case in which one application is not enough, you may apply again. The grouting can then be applied only when the surface has completely dried out.
There is one exception in the case of the Weber.Pas Mozaik medium granulation grouting. The grouting must be applied before the surface dries out.
Working temperature is minimum +5°C and max +30°C.
Fresh grouting must be protected against sunlight, rain or bad weather until it dries.
Wash the used tools immediately after application. Once the application is done, tightly close the bucket so that the remained material does not harden.
Maturing time: 24 hours
Homogenization time: 1 minute
These times are given for a temperature of 20 degrees C and a relative humidity of 65%. Higher temperatures shorten these times while lower ones increase them.
Support adherence: >0 3N/sqmm
Durability (freeze-thaw resistance) permeability rate EN 1062-3 REAL 0 5 kg (m2 h0 5)
Maximum 12 months if stored away from frost and high temperatures.
