The support surface must be clean, undeformable, dry, fixed and free of slippery substances (grease, release agents, bitumen, tar, dust etc.), be free of large cracks and lumps. Remove all repellants and debris that can reduce the adhesion. Edges and corners should be rounded and smoothed out, while the lumps must be leveled. If needed, gypsum based groutings and very fine surfaces should be mechanically roughened
Work and preparation method:
The weber.tec 828 DB 75 sealant tape is fixed and incorporated in a fresh layer of hydro insulation (weber.tec 822 /weber.tec superflex D2) applied in the joining areas between walls and floors, over expansion joints and over the transition zones between different materials. Corner areas can be efficiently done using the weber.tec 828 DI interior corner pieces and the weber.tec 828 DA exterior corner pieces. For sanitary connections we recommend using the adjustable pipe sealing strip weber.tec 828 MD. The material can be applied by brush, paintbrush, roller, or iron trowel. In order to obtain a waterproof coating, you should apply at least two layers of sealant on the entire surface which is going to be insulated
The minimum temperature is -30 C degrees to +90 C degrees max. Avoid direct sunlight and bad weather conditions while working.
