Executed in our own production department, according to a modern technology (waterjet cutting, CNC machining) the special pieces combine the elegant look of Ceppo Grey marble with the precision needed for such products. The glazing on the outside is mounted with a 5% slope for rainwater drainage, plus a 1L dripper, these sills are machined according to your project, with the possibility to choose different machining - (e.g.: half-batten, squared, dripper, etc.).
The sills are assembled
- by gluing to masonry, using appropriate adhesives
- by fitting into the wall, in the following steps:
1.place the glazing in position
2.embed into the wall
3.protect with adhesive tape the area at the intersection between the wall and the glaze
4.apply a layer of sealant at the junction between the glaze and the wall
5.spread on the joint
6.remove the tape
7.clean excess sealant
- by fixing on the window profile in the places specified by the window manufacturer
- by fixing with rods fitted in holes drilled in the glazing bead and fixed in the wall
- on supports mounted in the wall
OBS: In the case of glazing / atypical sills with atypical dimensions, we need sanding sands, these are sent to us by courier or in person, for calculation.
Steps / Exterior and Interior Stairs Marble | Steps and Risers Stairs
What could be more durable than a natural stone/marble staircase / stair tread that will last a lifetime. So climb up and down the steps of your interior or exterior stairs and enjoy their unrivaled appearance and functionality!
The elegance of risers made to your preference also needs the usefulness of anti-slip strips machined into the tread surface, especially for outdoor steps.
What you need to know about fitting outdoor/indoor steps / stairs:
1.check the ramps / supporting staircase, on which the steps are to be mounted, measure and correct any flatness errors and dimensional differences (from screeding - resizing)
2.prepare the supporting layer, it must be clean, smooth, flat, load bearing)
3.check the flatness of the step, it should have the same thickness on the whole surface, so that the step is straight. Any small errors are corrected from the adhesive layer or screed. Check flatness with a level
4.if it was not initially foreseen to work the edges (squab, half-squab, etc.), this can be done on site, using an angle grinder (Flex) equipped with abrasive disks
5.measure and trace the place of the stone step on the supporting surface
6.apply elastic adhesive on both the support and the slab (e.g. Weber MarmoPlus)
7.place the slab on the step-support and glue it to it.
8.check the flatness with the level
9.counter-step is mounted in the same way. If the step is longer and exceeds the length and width of the support then the stone step is mounted first, then the counter-step. If this is not the case and the two join at a right angle, then the counter-step can be fitted first.
NOTE: In the case of steps / risers with atypical dimensions it is necessary to make a 1:1 scale cardboard template with a concrete (brick) staircase at the base. The steps and risers will be made after this sanding.
Find out now how to maintain the glazing and steps of exterior or interior stairs, so regardless of the type of special parts ordered they must be protected from the action of aggressive environmental factors and household accidents that can affect their appearance and texture.
Simple and quick treatments in 3 steps, these are carried out after assembly.
1.Cleaning - is done with LTP Grimex or LTP Power Stripper. Specific solutions (detergents) are used to remove stains.
2.Waterproofing - the protection of surfaces against dust, water, grease and some stains is differentiated according to the place of installation. We recommend LTP MPG for indoor installation and LTP Mattstone h1O or another environmentally friendly impregnator from the range for outdoor installation.
3. Maintenance - use neutral detergents LTP Waxwash and LTP Stonewash.
