Marble to fall in love with – 4 unique interior designs
Usually marble is used for flooring, cladding, bathroom or kitchen countertops, yet you should know that lately there are more ways for highlighting it. Here are some great ideas to use marble in a decoration project:
Focus on the wall
In the picture below, Studio William Hefner's architects opted for highlighting the area near the bathtub with a special cut-to-size marble piece. Moreover, the door frame is cladded with the same material, a detail that will not go unnoticed.

A similar project was completed by the Coddington Design team, a luxury bathroom where the whirlpool bath (Jacuzzi) is associated with marble - the wall is partially cladded with marble, while the edges enhance the bulky appearance of the material.

Tiles with different sizes
A second idea for marble decoration projects is to choose more than one tile size, similar to what Patrick Perez Architect did for the bathroom in the image below, in which at least three types of tiles were used from the same marble. The wall on which the mirror cabinet is located is cladded with marble mosaic; larger tiles were used for the flooring, while the wall close to the shower was cladded with medium size marble tiles. The result is interesting and transmits personality, while the dynamics was shaped on fine coordinates, starting from this visual extra-layer of tile size.

A marble table could be a point of attraction in a living or dining room where the interior design concept allows this type of element. For ordering a marble countertop, make all the necessary measurements (you will need cardboard for templates), select the marble from our website category of special cut-to-size pieces and get in touch with us (details at the end of this article).

Then you have to make sure that the interior designer in charge with the project employs the correct solution for the table support structure - a larger marble tile can be quite heavy, that is why you have to make sure that the table legs and the support frame are strong enough.

Black, red or cream marble
Most often, the marble used for the decoration project is white - either with grey or lilac veins, or plain white – as a material traditionally associated with luxury. However, in recent years, cream shaded, cappuccino, black, red, blue or brown marble tiles have also been used, with spectacular results in terms of design, yet with no compromise on elegance.
