How do you choose materials that work well together? How do you create a dialogue between stone and a type of wood, a metal, an object or a particular colour palette? And how do you turn all these choices into a coherent composition that can become the starting point for a project?
On 25 October, we are opening SLAB Gallery for a workshop dedicated to moodboards and the creative process behind them.
What is the Moodboard Workshop?
It is a practical and relaxed session for exploring natural stone. You will be able to closely observe the differences between textures, finishes, colours and the unique pattern of each material, before learning how to combine them into an inspiration board.
We will work with natural stone samples, complementary materials, objects, textures and colour elements. You do not need any design experience. All you need is curiosity and a desire to experiment.
At the end, you will take home your own moodboard and a new perspective on how materials can tell a story together.

The workshop is led by the creative team responsible for the moodboards, material combinations and inspiration boards featured throughout PIATRAONLINE’s communication:
Mia Munteanu — Creative Brand Communication Director
She will talk about concepts, ideas and how a creative direction can be transformed into a coherent visual universe.
Sabina Stanciucu — Creative Concept Director
She will guide you in developing the story behind your moodboard and choosing combinations that give a composition its personality.
Mădălina Dan — Creative Stylist
She will show you how to work with textures, volumes, proportions and the small details that bring an inspiration board to life.
Who is the workshop for?
We welcome you if you are a student, creator, designer passionate about interiors or simply curious to better understand natural stone. The workshop is suitable for both professionals and those taking part in this type of experience for the first time.
The gathering will have the atmosphere of a community event: we will work, talk about design, exchange ideas and spend a few hours together in SLAB Gallery. Specialty coffee, complimentary treats and brunch bites are on us.
