Features
Marble is a non-foliated metamorphic rock formed by sedimentary rocks subjected to extreme temperatures and pressures, thus also altering their structure and properties. Marble is based on calcite, hence the features:

- water absorption: 0.3 %
- compressive strength: 84.2 - 96 MPa
- bending strength: 11.8 MPa
- hardness (according to Mohs Scale): 3 – 4
