Soudal FIX ALL High Tack black adhesive is a high-quality single component joint sealant with high adhesive strength, based on SMX® Hybrid Polymer Technology and recommended for bonding SKIN flexible slate over a clean, dust-free or grease-free substrate. With a paste-like texture, Soudal FIX ALL High Tack will form a film in 5 minutes and curing time is 24 hours for a 2-3 mm coat. Moreover, this adhesive is water-resistant and also resistant to stains of grease, mineral oils, specific solvents and diluted acids, yet more sensitive to aromatic solvents (benzene, toluene, xylene etc.), hard acids and chlorinated hydrocarbons (TCE industrial solvent, chloroform, DDT insecticide, heptachlor etc.). Use a pneumatic caulking gun for applying adhesive and keep in mind that it is recommended for bonding and sealing a wide range of materials (except plastics such as polypropylene, polyethylene or TeflonTM)

How to install SKIN flexible slate
• Choose your slate sheets
• Measure surfaces and calculate necessary sheets. Use adhesive tape for highlighting areas which need to be cut and avoiding scratching.
• Make sure installation site is ready: underlay prepared, backlighting installed (for translucent SKIN slate), underfloor heating system turned off (for flooring installation)
• Draw contour 1:1 scale. For curved surfaces, use paper sheets / other non-rigid material with matching size and draw contour over surface by overlapping
• Always test adhesive before use
• Apply adhesive with “S” shapes on the back of the sheet
• Spread with a putty knife (pay attention to the edges), then brush surface with a notched trowel
• Overlay the sheet on the outline drawn on the surface and bond it. It is recommended to begin installation from center and advance to the edges. Use a paint roller for removing air bubbles and move it up and down for cladding and side to side for flooring. Sheets can be installed with stitch appearance or with joints. Narrow joints are recommended, because sheets are thin.
• Remove excess adhesive with a damp cloth. Residues are removed with "white spirit" / acetone, then complete procedure with soap and water. Keep in mind to complete it, before film is formed.
• Use sheets with adjusted size where needed. Size can be adjusted with dry or wet cutting. For dry cutting (usually used for thin sheets and small pieces) you can use a metal cutting scissors or an electric hand cutting machine with tungsten blade and diamond
• Cut-out pieces will be bonded with the same technology
• Allow adhesive to cure, according to manufacturer's instructions. For flooring projects, avoid stepping
• Allow it to dry for 24 hours.
