The Weber KL15 mortar is used to create brickworks, offering high resistance to compression and optimum time correction.
A grey cement based powder with synthetic resins and quartz sand. It has good adhesion and it is easily workable. Nontoxic product.
Support preparations:
If the working temperature is very high, masonry elements get wet.
Work and preparation method:
Pour the contents of one bag in 7 liters of water and mix manually or mechanically using the mixer to obtain a homogeneous paste.
After obtaining a homogeneous paste, leave it for 5 minutes then remix well.
The obtained mixture is evenly applied in a coat of about 10 mm on masonry elements. The joints are filled with material.
In case of high temperatures, the brickwork must be protected against rapid drying.
Recommendations:
No need mixing the Weber KL15 mortar with other materials to keep a constant composition.
Working temperature: between +5C degree and 30C degree.
Do not apply on frozen or excessively hot bricks or when it rains.
Usage characteristics:
Waiting time after mixing: approx. 5 minutes
Time to use: approx. 1h from paste preparation
These times are given for a temperature of 20 ° C and a relative humidity of 65%. Higher values shorten these times while lower temperatures increase them. Contains cement. Makes an alkaline reaction with water. Protect eyes and skin. in case of contact with eyes, wash with plenty of water and seek the doctor’s advice.
Technical data:
Adhesive strength: ≥ 0 2 N/mm2
Compressive strength: ≥ 7 5 N/mm2
The mechanical strength of bending tensile: ≥ 2 N/mm2
Time for mortar corrections: 9 minutes
Validity terms:
12 months from date of manufacture when stored on wooden pallets in dry conditions
Consumption:
For a wall with a 25 cm thickness: approx. 20 kg / sqm depending on the size of masonry elements and the wall thickness.
