Weber P37 is the number 1 product for gluing expanded polystyrene. It is applied on all conventional surfaces such as concrete, light concrete, porous concrete, cement plaster, cement-lime plaster and old plaster, directly onto any type of masonry. This expanded polystyrene adhesive is recommended for thermal insulation of newly built buildings and old ones that are going to be rehabilitated. Adhesive for expanded polystyrene works will be executed at air temperatures and support from +5 C to +30 C. During the application the surface must be protected from the strong sunlight and rain.
It is used in particular for gluing expanded polystyren pieces. It is applied on surfaces such as concrete, porous concrete, light concrete, plasters, lime-cement plasters and old plasters, directly onto any type of masonry.
Composition:
Grey cement-based powder containing synthetic resin of professional quality. Nontoxic product with high adhesion to the substrate and expanded polystyrene (EPS-F).
Surface it can be applied on:
Concrete, light concrete, porous concrete, cement plaster, cement-lime plaster, old plaster and directly onto any type of masonry.
Support preparations:
Surfaces must be clean, dry, non-deformable and fixed. Polystyrene pieces must be clean and free from grease, oils, dust or other such impurities. If the support surfaces are very porous, they should be watered and then wait until the film of water disappears.
Preparations and how to:
Pour the contents of one bag in about 6.5 liters of water and mix manually or with electric mixer until you get a homogeneous paste. After obtaining the paste, leave it for 5 minutes, then remix for 30 seconds.
The obtained mortar is applied on the polyester's perimeter in edge's length, in several points (3-6) on the rest of the surface so that by pressing the covered surface by adhesive is greater than 40%.
Polystyrene pieces are attached to the wall in connection (type masonry). Fix by manually pressing. Flatness and verticality is adjusted using screed or spirit level.
After adhesive drying, apply anchors and sand polyester pieces..
Recommendations:
Working temperature is between + 50C and + 300C. During work, area must be protected from the strong rays of the sun and rain. cladded surface and used material must not be exposed to frost or rain for 24 hours after application. In cold weather and high humidity installing dowel pins in insulating tiles is done only after waiting for a suitable time (dowel trial).
Characteristics of use:
Waiting time: 5 minutes from mix preparation
Time to use: 2-3 h from mix preparation
This duration is given for a temperature of 20 C and a relative humidity of 65%. Higher values shorten and lengthen the duration.
Contains cement. Makes alkaline reaction with water. Protect eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes they should be washed with plenty of water and seek a medical specialist's advice.
Technical specifications:
Initial adhesion: >0.5 N/mm2.
Compressive strength: ≥ 7 N/mm2
The mechanical strength of bending tensile: ≥ 1 N/mm2
Validity term:
12 months from date of manufacture when stored on wooden pallets in dry conditions.
Consumption:
Approx. 4-6 kg/sqm depending on the support surface
