This thermal insulation systems adhesive, the Weber P40 max² is used for bonding and reinforcement of polystyrene foam, polystyrene graphite and mineral wool (basalt). It is applied on all conventional surfaces: concrete, light concrete, porous concrete, cement plaster, cement-lime plaster, old plaster and directly onto any type of masonry. It is recommended for thermal insulation of newly built and old buildings(rehabilitation). This adhesive for thermal insulation systems has demonstrated its full utility in time, confirming the trust specialists put in this product.
Made from cement and mineral fillers, contains synthetic resin of professional quality.
Grey-colored polystyrene adhesive.
Surface it is applied on:
Gluing: surfaces of concrete, lightweight cellular concrete, lime-cement plaster, plaster old, and direct any type of masonry.
Reinforcement: expanded polystyrene tiles, graphited polystyrene and mineral wool.
Support surface preparations:
Surfaces must be clean, undeformable, fix and dry, polystyrene's sides must be cleaned and free of grease, oil, dust or other impurities. If the surfaces are very porous, they should be watered, and then wait until the film of water disappears.
How to prepare and use:
Pour the contents of one bag in 7 liters of water and mix manually or mechanically using an electric mixer until you get a homogeneous paste.
After obtaining the paste, it is left for 5 minutes, then remix for 30 seconds.
For gluing: the obtained adhesive mortar is applied on the perimeter of the polystyrene slab on edge's length in several points (3-6) so that by pressing, the adhesive coated surface is greater than 40%. Fixed by manually pressing, while flatness and verticality is adjusted using screed and spirit level.
For reinforcement: the adhesive mortar is applied using a jagged trowel (6x6 or 8x8 mm) in a uniform layer on the surface of the tile. the reinforcement net (made from fiberglass) is incorporated in the adhesive on a vertical direction with the help of plastering tools so that the net strips have a minimum of 10 cm overlap. Immediately apply the second coat of paste (with a thickness of approx.15 mm), plastering in such a way that the mesh surface is fully covered.
Recommendations:
The minimum work temperature is + 50C and + 300C maximum. During the work, the surface must be protected from the strong rays of the sun and rain. cladded surface and used material must not be exposed to frost or rain for 24 hours after application. In cold weather and high humidity, the doweling of insulating tiles is done only after waiting for a suitable time (a dowel trial).
Use characteristics:
Waiting time: 5 minutes from mix preparation
Time to use: approx. 3 hours from mix preparation
The duration of the drying and maturation is given for a temperature of 20C degrees Cand a relative humidity of 65%. Higher values shorten the duration, while lower values lengthen it.
Contains cement. Makes alkaline reaction with water. Protect eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes they should be washed with plenty of water and seek a medical specialist's advice.
