Delivery status
If you’d like to know the status of your order, the PIATRAONLINE advisor you’ve worked with can give you this information quickly. You can also get this information from the logistics department, but only once you’ve been notified that your order has shipped.
Receiving products
When your products arrive, make sure you’re home, or that you’ve designated someone who knows exactly what products should be arriving. It’s important to inspect the products on receipt and let us know right away if you notice anything wrong. For any error, we’ll resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Unloading products
For delivery to go smoothly, we need your involvement – keep the following in mind:
If you live in a central/downtown area, certain delivery vehicles may be restricted from entering. Please let us know about this, and be aware that a government-imposed delivery permit fee may apply. This fee is your responsibility. We can offer delivery with smaller vehicles instead, so you don’t have to pay for that permit, if we agree together that this is the more cost-effective option (where possible)
If your area is inaccessible to large trucks, please let us know! As above, we can arrange delivery with smaller vehicles ahead of time, but keep in mind this may mean higher delivery costs
If you’ve arranged your own installation crew, let our logistics contact know, so delivery can be scheduled for when your installation crew is available to arrive and unload the goods
Keep in mind that the person delivering your order is a driver and will not help unload the goods under any circumstances. Make sure you’ve arranged your own team in advance to unload the goods
If the delivery vehicle has a tail-lift and pallet jack, it can unload in front of the building, except where the vehicle can enter your courtyard for unloading
For certain pieces (slabs, half-slabs, large items), safe delivery is done on special racks. The rack remains PIATRAONLINE’s property and must be returned to the warehouse; please arrange for someone to load the rack onto the return transport after delivery
