Storage

Handling and storing products

  • Natural stone cladding and special pieces should always be lifted from the edge, to avoid cracking. Storage should follow the same method used for delivery: in crates or on pallets, with tiles placed side by side, vertically, not stacked flat on top of each other

  • If products are unloaded by hand, extra care is needed – keep in mind that stone is extremely durable once installed, but fragile while being handled

  • You’ll notice we take rigorous steps to prevent tiles from breaking during transport: some tiles have a reinforcing mesh on the back, panel-type or mosaic products are boxed, some products are crated, and some tiles are even separated from each other using various methods, for extra safety

  • Stone should be stored exactly the way we store it (boxes, pallets, etc.), and of course, anything boxed must be stored indoors or under a covered terrace so it doesn’t degrade

If your installation crew hasn’t worked with natural stone before, make sure they’re informed about these points!

Delays

There are sometimes exceptional situations beyond our control (political crises affecting international shipping and therefore our relationship with suppliers, situations due to partner carriers’ schedules that we can’t predict, extreme weather conditions, difficult access to the address, etc.). In these cases, we’ll let you know quickly about any delays.

We recommend that on delivery day, you schedule your installation crew for unloading only, and choose a separate time for installation itself, to avoid unpleasant situations caused by product delays.
