How are countertops, slabs, and large-sized pieces transported?
Although natural stone is one of the toughest materials around, it becomes fragile when handled and transported – it can be compared to sheets of glass. Natural stone is always transported vertically / on its edge, along the length of the edge, secured against swaying. Transported flat, it will flex and crack from the shocks of the road.
Countertops with a sink cutout are even more sensitive; that's why we recommend that cutouts be made on site, before final installation. For safety reasons, you can't transport countertops in your own car; at least 3 people are needed to handle a countertop, supporting both ends at the same time.
We carry out transport with properly equipped vehicles and specialized drivers, who know the specifics of each material (thickness, veining, composition, dimensions).
