Autograph-Pisa Decorative Tundra Marble Vase, 30 x 20 x 20 cm
Pisa vase is a design element, intended for the embellishment and personalization of interior and exterior spaces in public and private projects. Tundra marble was formed by cementing the grog or flakes of other, harder rocks, the appearance of frozen pebbles embedded in the marble mass coming from the natural sediments that caused the formation in the first phase. Subsequently, subjected to enormous temperatures and pressures, these cemented sediments transformed into the structure of the marble we see today. Its composition is mainly calcareous, but it also contains magnesia in a significant proportion. This is where the slightly glassy appearance comes from. Because of the way it’s formed, Tundra marble has special qualities:
– density = 2900 kg/m³
– water absorption = 1,19%
– compressive strength = 129 MPa
– flexural strength = 8.4 MPa
– frost resistance – very good
– abrasion resistance – very good
The compressive strength places it in the granite rock category, as well as the flexural strength, water absorption and water absorption keep it in the porous marble category. The density is better than many types of granite. Tundra marble vase is sensitive to corrosive agents (acid rain, commercial detergents, food agents)
Treatment is carried out in 3 steps:
1. cleaning: use alkaline detergents (Grimex, Power Stripper)
2. waterproofing with products
3. maintenance with Stonewash
