The BERA® Grass Fix Eco ecological paving is a versatile and robust grass reinforcement and stabilisation system, designed for grass car parks, access routes, residential gardens and areas with light pedestrian or vehicle traffic. Unlike traditional concrete slabs that tend to heat up and scorch the surrounding lawn, the thermal insulation properties of the HDPE (high-density polyethylene) from which BERA® Grass Fix Eco is made keep the surface cool, ensuring user comfort and healthy grass growth.

The modular honeycomb cell structure with a height of 50 mm allows the free and healthy growth of grass roots, while maintaining the moisture the soil needs. The integrated interlocking system provides a stable and uniform base, resistant to displacement even under heavy loads.

Technical specifications:

  • Material: HDPE (high-density polyethylene) — 100% recycled and recyclable
  • Colour: Black
  • Cell height: 50 mm
  • Panel dimensions: 60 x 40 cm
  • Cell structure: Hexagonal (honeycomb)
  • Compressive strength: up to 150 t/m²
  • Permeability: 100% — complete rainwater drainage
  • Thermal expansion: < 0.29% per metre at 50°C
  • Interlocking system: Integrated (panels anchor and join together)
  • UV stability and frost resistance: Yes
  • Production standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001
  • Product safety: REACH (EC 1907/2006)
  • Production: European Union
  • 100% recyclable — circular product made from recycled household waste

Applications:

  • Grass car parks and green access routes
  • Pathways and garden paths in residential gardens
  • Light pedestrian and vehicle traffic areas
  • Urban landscaping and public green spaces
  • Emergency access roads
  • Overflow parking areas (occasional parking on grass)

Key advantages:

  • Does not heat up the lawn — the thermal insulation properties of HDPE keep the surface cool, unlike concrete slabs
  • Allows free and healthy grass growth through the open cells of the structure
  • 100% permeability — rainwater infiltrates immediately, with no waterlogging
  • High load-bearing capacity — supports up to 150 t/m²
  • Integrated interlocking system — panels anchor firmly together, preventing displacement
  • Easy to cut around trees, shrubs or fences
  • Fast and easy installation — no special tools required
  • Circular eco-friendly product — made from 100% recycled HDPE, fully recyclable

Recommended filling materials:

The cells of the BERA® Grass Fix Eco ecological paving are filled with a mixture of soil and sand, after which grass is sown. Alternatively, the cells can be filled with gravel or crushed stone for areas without vegetation. Frequent fertilisation and watering after seeding is recommended for fast and uniform grass growth.

Installation:

Prepare the foundation according to local soil conditions and anticipated load. Lay the panels in a staggered pattern (stretcher bond) for additional stability and interlock them using the integrated system. Fill the cells with a soil and sand mixture, sow grass and water frequently. The panels can be easily cut with a saw or knife to fit around obstacles.

Panoramic, a reinvented symbol of contemporary Brașov

Panoramic reopens its doors in a form that preserves the building's modernist memory and translates it through light, transparency, materiality and a direct relationship with the landscape. The original building dates from the 1970s, and the contemporary intervention preserves the scale, proportions and structural logic of the modernist landmark.

Casa Icoanei, interwar heritage reconfigured for the present

The house recovers its Florentine-Moorish character through the restoration of the façades and the original details, reinterpreted in a contemporary, luminous and rigorously proportioned formula. The main volume is extended vertically, and the openings are recalibrated to bring the morning light inside and to connect the spaces of the house more clearly.
