Travertine is a natural stone used in the interior and exterior decoration projects. Apart from being a unique material with its undefined pattern and porous strucure, travertine has also a wide range of shades available. Moreover, it is a natural stone capable of updating itself, being able to be fully integrated in the new concept of architecture and design.
Classic Wave Cut Travertine is different from Latte due to its special cut that creates a special texture along the vein. Classic Wave Cut Travertine can be used for cladding (interior/exterior), bathroom, kitchen, living room, hallway.
Classic Wave Cut Travertine is very popular for public decoration projects, because it creates imposing entrances and opulent areas. For residential projects, we recomend it in open areas, for highlighting the idea of vast space and luminosity.
What you need to know about installation:
Installation is as important as choosing the best suited stone for your project.
After unpacking, the travertine tiles must be washed and dried.
For installing the tiles, we recommend Weber Set Marmo Plus, a flexible fast setting adhesive, also suitable for exterior and projects with underfloor heating.
Weber Color Perfect grouting joints will be applied after fixing the tiles for highlighting natural stone, with more than 30 color shades to choose from. For a correct installation, we recommend contracting a specialist.
Tips for natural stone aftercare
Travertine is a hard and durable stone, yet for an extended lifetime you should keep in mind 3 procedures: cleaning, sealing and aftercare.
Clean the surface before sealing with LTP Grimex, available in our range of solutions (approx. 1L = 40 – 50 sqm)
Seal the surface with LTP Mattstone, recommended for both interior and exterior. This procedure is essential for daily protection of natural stone against water drops, dust and stubborn stains. As a result, the pores of the surface will seal, creating a barrier against external agents that could damage the stone.
Enhance and highlight the color of travertine with LTP Color Intensifier
For daily cleaning and aftercare, we recommend LTP Waxwash, a cleaner that will not influence the sealed surface (1L = 700 sqm)
For stubborn stains, we recommend LTP Power Stripper and for rust stains LTP Grout Stain Remover (1L = 30 – 40 sqm).
