The Calacatta Verde Honed marble slab is a natural stone of rare beauty, quarried from the quarries of Massa-Carrara province, Italy — the region with the longest tradition in the extraction of luxury marbles in the world. It impresses with its pure milky-white base, characteristic of the Calacatta family, traversed by dramatic and sinuous veins in shades of green — from vivid and intense green to deeper shades of jade-green and moss-green — combined with accents of intense black and golden pyrite sparkles, creating a unique, exotic and deeply expressive pattern on the surface of each slab.

Calacatta Verde brings a bold and distinctive colour note to luxury projects, while retaining the neutral and classic elegance of the white Calacatta base. The honed finish gives the surface a velvety and natural texture that softens reflections and amplifies the organic beauty of the green and black veins, creating a sophisticated, discreet atmosphere with authentic chromatic depth — ideal for luxury residential spaces where vibrant yet understated elegance is sought.

The slab format allows the creation of the book-match effect — the symmetrical mirroring of two adjacent slabs — resulting in visually exceptional compositions of outstanding artistic power, with symmetrically mirrored green and black veins creating natural tableaux of rare and distinctive beauty. The honed finish gives these compositions an even more natural and organic appearance, approaching the aesthetics of the stone in its authentic state.

What is the Honed finish?

The honed finish is achieved by grinding the stone surface without the final polishing stages that produce shine. The result is a smooth, velvety and matt surface with minimal reflections and a natural-organic appearance. The honed finish is particularly recommended for Calacatta Verde as it reduces the sensitivity to fingerprints characteristic of high-shine light-coloured surfaces, while creating a more intimate and natural atmosphere. Mandatory preventive impregnation is required due to its slightly higher porosity compared to the polished finish.

Design tip:

The green veins of Calacatta Verde Honed marble create a fascinating dialogue with warm natural materials — wood in walnut, smoked oak or teak tones, metals in brass and matt bronze tones, as well as natural stones in neutral tones. The combination with natural textures (rattan, linen, cotton, river stone) and real green plants creates organic, vibrant and refined interiors, with a bohème-luxe note highly appreciated in contemporary high-end design.

Maintenance and care:

The honed finish requires mandatory preventive impregnation with a hydrophobic and oleophobic product specifically designed for natural stone, applied before installation and renewed periodically (every 1–2 years, depending on use). Cleaning is carried out with neutral detergents (pH 7) and water. Acidic, alkaline or abrasive products should be avoided. Note: calcitic marble is sensitive to acids — lemon juice, vinegar, wine and acidic cleaning products can cause etching on the surface, particularly visible on the white base. Stains must be removed promptly.

Professional tip:

For correct installation, use high-quality white flexible adhesives compatible with light-coloured natural stone, and ensure a uniform bedding layer to prevent cracking. The green veins may constitute areas with different physical characteristics from the rest of the slab — careful inspection of the slabs is recommended, and consultation with a specialist before installation is strongly advised, particularly for large surface or cantilevered applications.

Panoramic, a reinvented symbol of contemporary Brașov

Panoramic reopens its doors in a form that preserves the building's modernist memory and translates it through light, transparency, materiality and a direct relationship with the landscape. The original building dates from the 1970s, and the contemporary intervention preserves the scale, proportions and structural logic of the modernist landmark.
