Waterproofing
Waterproofing is needed to seal wet areas (e.g. bathrooms, shower stalls, basements, outdoor terraces, foundations, pools, water tanks). It prevents water from getting in and mold from forming in wet areas.
It’s applied to both the floor and the wall (usually up to 20 cm up the wall). Corner pieces and sealing tape are installed at corners and at the wall-to-floor junction.
Waterproofing can be applied both outdoors and indoors.
Webertec Hydroprotect waterproofing is a two-component, cement-based, flexible product with good mechanical properties (resists cracking up to 1.5 mm). It can be applied outdoors, with good resistance to weather cycles (stays flexible down to -20°C). Avoid applying it to wood, particleboard, or metal surfaces. Not recommended for pools (doesn’t withstand negative water pressure). One kit (20 kg bag + 10 kg canister) is enough to cover 9 sqm in two coats. Applied in two perpendicular coats.
Webertec Superflex D2 waterproofing is also two-component and cement-based, with the addition of quartz sand, polymers, fillers, and additives. It’s a fast-setting waterproofing product used in direct contact with drinking water (water tanks), providing complete sealing (withstands negative water pressure). It’s flexible and has excellent mechanical properties (resistant to cracking, tearing, and damage). It’s durable and can be used on heated floors. Consumption depends on the type and location of cladding. Supplied in 24 kg canisters. The surface can be clad after about an hour and a half.
