The Latte travertine is mainly characterized by the constancy and uniformity of its color. This fact makes sure that the space in which it is used seems larger, brighter and more refined. At a first glance, an amateur may even mistake this travertine for marble, due to its very fine texture. Beyond its aesthetic properties, this travertine is also highly resistant. It can be used in bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, hallways, covered terraces for floorings (has a great thermal transfer), walls, fireplaces etc. In the case of exterior arrangements, it is often found in the cladding of facades, home bases, fences, decorative frames for doors or windows etc. The sealing of the Latte travertine will determine an easier maintenance of the product over a longer period of time (check out the “Cleaning and Maintaining” section on our website).
Over the kitchen and lobby travertine I applied lacquer with a worker that carried out a poor job. The result is that now lacquer is very harsh and has impurities underneath. I used a lacquer with glossy look, but how can I remove it without damaging the stone surface?
First of all, we do not recommend using lacquer on natural stone. Second, for removing lacquer you need to use LTP Solvex, then you have to seal the surface with LTP MPG or LTP Mattstone H20 (all found on our website, you can order online and we will dispatch them by courier, cash on delivery).
