A white marble coming from the ancient days of Turkey, Marmara to be specific, extensively used for centuries in monumental building such as mosques, hammams and other important buildings. Marmara Island is located a few hours from Istanbul, in the Sea of Marmara, hence the name. The word "Marmara" comes from the Turkish word "mermer" which means marble. History is only partially responsible for the beauty of this stone, because in itself this an essential element of Turkish culture, penetrating the international market.
