The museum of peculiar stones: Elvis, E.T., Mihail Gorbaciov, Nemo

Published: Uncategorized // Published 04.05.2017

The collection was initiated more than 50 years ago and contains over 1700 stones which look more or less like human faces. of course, the most popular pieces are the ones than come close to looking like famous people: artists, politicians, sportsmen and movie characters. Today, the museum is run by Yoshiko Hayama, the wife of Shozo Hayama, the initiator of this strange museum.

Because many of the exhibits do not have a name, the owner sometimes invites visitor to name the rocks. If you're looking to visit, the museum is located 10 minutes away from the Kagemori train station. You should call before paying it a visit, because the museum is sometimes closed due to personal reasons that are not announced. These rocks that bear a certain likeliness to the human form are yet another proof that nature never ceases to amaze us, because we're always in for a show.
